The many layers of the onion

Onions. Stinky yet delicious. To die for when caramelised, and yet no friend to my intestines. I love eating them, but I really shouldn’t. My main excuse used to be that I adored them, but I’ve just been given a new justification. Memory boosting. Apparently they’re full of antioxidants that can give you the memory skills of an elephant. So sure, I might not be especially delightful company, but who cares? I’ll have world-beating skills in recall.

Oh but there’s no reason to not eat onions!  They’re so tasty and as long as you get whomever you’re eating with to eat them too then you’re good to go.  Just like in Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair: http://tinyurl.com/2jluca
