Salt-N-Papa’s “Push It” gets shark to do just that…

ME, I LOVE ANY EXCUSE TO GIVE MY FAVORITE GIRL RAP GROUP A SHOUT OUT

German scientists decided to see whether playing some romantic tunes would kick start the flagging libidos of captive sharks. Apparently it did.

Here are the top five shark love songs:

1.  Salt’n Pepa -Push It
2.  Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On
3.  James Last - Traumschiff (German version of Love Boat)
4.  Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body
5.  Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry

Too Funny! - I actually own the 45 of “Push It” and to this day it is one of my fav’s!
It was “the song” for me and my college boyfriend. smile
It was also my favorite song to roller skate to back in middle school.

I LOVE that you LOVE S ‘n P!! Those girls were totally the best. “Shoop” was probably the very first cool and trendy song that I knew all the lyrics too:

“Don’t know how you do the voodoo that you do
So well it’s a spell, hell, makes me wanna shoop shoop shoop”

yes. salt n’pepa definitely rocked my youth through adolescence. i sang “shoop” in a 5th grade talent contest, and the principal hastily pulled the plug before the third (and best!) verse. im glad that their music can even arouse sharks, for now i can (slightly) forgive my principal for being less of a square than i had imagined.
