Dan is a long-time devotee of charismatic megafauna (except for pandas. Don’t even get him started on pandas).
He was an undergrad at the University of California, Santa Cruz where he studied ecology and evolutionary biology. A veteran peon in animal behavior research, Dan excels at glamorous tasks like lizard toe-clipping, salamander husbandry and sitting still in bird blinds for hours on end.
Slightly worried about his willingness to talk to animals in bad french accents, Dan made the switch to writing. He is currently a student in UCSC’s Science Communication Program.
What better way to support the conservation of sharks than with a delicious sharky totebag. Okay, so you could, like donate money to people who actually save them. Just think of this as an exericse in good PR.
