James mainly writes about earth science, being the holder of a Masters degree in Environmental Geoscience, but is not averse to write on environmental issues and ‘creature features’. His ideal job would involve being sent to spectacularly scenic parts of the globe, such as Alaska, and being paid to write about them.
His hobbies include hiking, reading, writing fiction, traveling and making models of high-performance aircraft.
